PEDIATRIC TRANSPLANT & CELLULAR THERAPY AND HEMOPHAGOCYTIC LYMPHOHISTIOCYTOSIS (HLH) ACROSS PEDIATRIC SPECIALTIES:SPOTLIGHT ON IMMUNE EFFECTOR CELL HLH LIKE SYNDROME

The Pediatric Transplant and Cellular Therapy (PTCT) program will host a symposium entitled "Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) Across Pediatric Specialties: Spotlight on Immune Effector Cell (IEC) HLH Like Syndrome" at Duke University Medical Center,Durham, North Carolina, on March 13th, 2025. The symposium will convene experts from leading academic societies, including the Pediatric Acute Lung Injury and Sepsis Investigators (PALISI) Network-HCT Cancer Immunotherapy Subgroup, the American Society of Transplant and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT), and the European Blood and Marrow Transplant (EBMT) Group. Participants will: 1- discuss our current understanding of HLH,hyper-inflammatory and HLH like syndromes. 2- Review current state and future landscape for IEC therapies. 3- Discuss recent ASTCT criteria for diagnosis and management IEC-HLHlike syndrome criteria. 4- Explore other hyper-inflammatory disorders as it may inform future IEC-HLH like syndrome management strategies. 5- Develop a white-paper strategy for next steps in IEC-HLH like Syndrome. The conference aims to attract pediatric multi-disciplinary learners from around the globe through a hybrid in-person and online format, facilitating sustained educational initiatives. A recorded webinar will also be available. Following the symposium, panelists will publish a white paper to guide future research, advocacy, and clinical priorities concerning IEC-HLH like syndrome.

Presentations will include PowerPoint lectures, Q&A sessions, and case discussions to bridge the identified practice gap.

- Current diagnostic criteria and management strategies for IEC-HLH like syndrome.

- Future directions in IEC therapies and their potential impact on treatment outcomes.

- Best practices for interdisciplinary collaboration in the management of pediatric patients with HLH.
