PERSONAL LOSS - ADVANTAGES OF REFLECTING ON DEATH, DYING AND GRIEF

During this session, participants will explore their own beliefs regarding death and dying through self-reflection exercises and group discussion. Participants will learn through research about the benefits of self-exploration for their work and personal life. Presenters will provide specific tools that can be incorporated into daily self-care plan.

Learning Objectives

• Recognize how personal experiences of loss and death have informed their beliefs and values about death, dying, and grieving.

• Articulate personal perspectives of death and dying.

• Name three reasons why self-reflection can be beneficial to providing hospice care.

• Identify one way to use reflection as a mitigating factor of loss.
