POSSEM - Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus of the Southeast Meeting
The third annual Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Meeting of the Southeast (POSMS) will be a low-key, case presentation-based meeting modeled after the meeting at Wills Eye Hospital. Faculty bring interesting cases, failures, and dilemmas. Audience participation will be key and everything will be game. Participants will be practicing pediatric ophthalmologists, orthoptists, and other ophthalmic subspecialists who work with children. At the conclusion of this program, the participant should be able to: 1. Apply central concepts about the management of pediatric eye conditions-- specifically including the management of pediatric cataract, retinopathy of prematurity, pediatric corneal disease and pediatric neuro-ophthalmology—in order to minimize the occurrence/impact of amblyopia in the pediatric population 2. Explain current controversies in the management of a variety of pediatric eye diseases
