PREPARING PRACTICE-READY NURSING STUDENTS

This workshop will review the fundamentals of the 2021 AACN Essentials: Core Competencies for Nursing Education. Participants will practice writing competency statements and learning objectives using a backward design framework to ensure curriculum alignment for the ultimate purpose of preparing practice-ready nursing students.

Analyze the detailed implementation strategy for the AACN Essentials framework. Examine the objectives of Competency-Based Education (CBE). Develop precise learning objectives and competency statements. Craft a lesson plan utilizing the backward design framework.
