Reiki Master Trainer Level - Spring 2026 (Session 5)

May 12, 2026 to May 13, 2026

This program builds on the foundational program of Reiki levels 1-2. It will take place over the course of five months with monthly 2-day workshops and independent assignments between sessions. The first four workshops will be virtual and the fifth will be an in-person capstone experience at Duke Integrative Medicine. Reiki Master Level introduces the learner to the Usui Master symbol. Master attunements will be given and instructions for facilitating attunements and classes. There is an emphasis on self-clearing and discernment of the learner's personal energy field. The exercises to be introduced will develop embodied awareness and intuition. Concentration will be developed that prepares the learner energetically for teaching Reiki and facilitating initiations (attunements). This is a teacher training that highlights an evidence-based history of the origins and evolution of Reiki. We will honor the primary Reiki lineages composed of independent Reiki practitioners and teachers across the globe and learn the attunement techniques of at least two lineages. Upon completion, learners will be independent Reiki master teachers with tools to deepen their practice and teach if desired. An understanding of Reiki as an intrinsically embodied and trauma-informed practice will be emphasized. We will also dive deep into ethics and issues around Reiki in clinical settings, such as current research, working in oncology, volunteering, and the impact of potential standardization and legislation.
