Learning Objectives

  1. Review best practices for how to manage patients at risk for diabetes, including how to diagnose their diabetes and how to manage their risks.
  2. Review proper dosing and management of Type 2 diabetic patients with metformin and sulfonylurea medications, including what are the right doses and when to avoid.
  3. Focus on the variety of treatment regimens that exist to treat Type 2 diabetic patients when initial drug therapy has failed.
