Robotic Master Course: Advanced Techniques for General Surgeons

  • The Duke Robotic Master Course: Advanced Techniques for General Surgeons brings together expert faculty from Duke to share the latest advances in robotic surgery techniques through video-based presentations, live-streamed OR cases, panel discussions, and hands-on experience. The course will focus on current, new, and upcoming advancements in technology and practice, the most complex cases, and recent research findings. Our faculty will engage in lively and vigorous debates and discussions on topics and controversies faced by robotic surgeons. This course offers a hands-on robotic skills lab that provides an opportunity to learn and practice robotic techniques with a low faculty-to-participant ratio. Breakout sessions are offered for Advance Practice Providers and First Assistants who assist in the OR to discuss operative considerations and assisting techniques. These sessions are led by expert Physician Assistants with extensive experience in first-assist robotic operative techniques.
