Session 3 Primary Care Training and Enhancement (PCTE) Mini-Fellowship Program

To equip preceptors to become effective clinician educators who can develop and implement curricula and facilitate group Quality Improvement projects that will address the needs of vulnerable populations in North Carolina.

Learning Objectives

Describe factors contributing to the current epidemic of opioid abuse and overdose death

Identify Quality Improvement initiatives tat can be implemented by preceptors and students to reduce opioid misuse

Identify strategies to foster provider and students' wellness in clinical teaching settings

Identify strategies for fostering effective interprofessional teamwork

Describe effective strategies for teaching/supervising QI projects
