  • Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety (TeamSTEPPS) is an evidence-based set of teamwork tools designed to optimize team function, and ultimately patient outcomes. This 90-minute virtual workshop focuses on advanced strategies for sustaining and spreading TeamSTEPPS.

Learning Objectives

1) Participants will be able to describe the key tools and principles included in the streamlined Essentials curriculum and explain how these differ from the full TeamSTEPPS program.

2) Participants will learn to outline practical approaches for reinforcing TeamSTEPPS behaviors post-training, including strategies for integrating tools into daily workflows and measuring impact over time.

3) Participants will gain the skills to design and deliver time-efficient Essentials courses by selecting appropriate teaching strategies, managing training logistics, and leveraging available resources to ensure learner engagement and retention.
