Tobacco Treatment 1-Day Course for Medical Providers

This is a 1-day course for medical providers intended to provide evidence-based training in contemporary methods of tobacco treatment. The course will include information on tobacco use within the US population, discussion of vulnerable populations, standard of care treatment, modern evidence-based approaches to pharmacotherapy and behavioral treatment and a discussion of strategies for implementation of a tobacco treatment.

Physicians, pharmacists, nurses, social workers, psychologists

Learning Objectives

Describe of the population of tobacco users.

Discuss evidence-based pharmacotherapy for tobacco users.

Explain evidence-based behavioral treatment for tobacco users.

Provide tobacco treatment within their own health system or work environment.
