Visiting Observership in Neuroradiology - May 28 - June 1, 2018
Visiting fellowships offer practicing radiologists an informal learning experience in a university hospital environment. Radiologists will spend one or more weeks in specific areas of radiological specialization. Learning opportunities will include participation in daily film/case reading sessions, lectures by Duke faculty and departmental teaching conferences. Visiting fellowships in chosen specialty areas of diagnostic imaging are designed to enable practicing radiologists to acquire basic or additional exposure and experience in chosen specialty imaging areas. However, the programs cannot provide in depth training or insure proficiency in interpretation or performance of specific imaging and/or interventional procedures.
Learning Objectives
- Discuss the basic principles of radiology
- Identify the newest modalities and procedures in radiology
- Describe best practices in subspecialty imaging training need to fulfill credentialing requirements
