The final DREAMS (https://neurology.duke.edu/dreams) Seminar of the academic year will be Tuesday, March 5th from 2:00-3:00pm in the Nanaline Duke Building, Room 147.
Our speaker will be Dr. Francisco Quintana, Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and Associate Scientist with Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The title of his talk will be “Control of CNS inflammation by astrocytes”.
Dr. Quintana’s lab is focused on the characterization of signaling pathways that control the activity of the immune system, with the ultimate goal of identifying novel therapeutic targets and biomarkers for immune-mediated disorders. To this aim, they use genomic and proteomic tools to study zebrafish, murine and human disease models of inflammation.
