Duke Clinical Leadership Program

February 16, 2016 to June 14, 2016

Nineteen fellows and five project leads will participate in six full-day sessions exploring general business issues such as finance, human resource management, strategy, business planning, etc., with a specific emphasis on DUHS’ policies. Each participant will work with his/her peers and a project lead to craft a solution to a problem identified by DUHS as critically important. Final projects will be presented to senior DUHS leadership.

Learning Objectives

  • Provide a management toolkit that will enable participants (referred to as fellows) to lead and grow their units with increased efficacy and efficiency
  • Deliver education and training that will allow participants to enhance their career trajectories
  • Strengthen the pipeline of Duke Medicine’s next round of leaders
  • Enrich the institution through engagement and innovation and improve its culture
  • Provide cross fertilization from disparate divisions/departments
  • Build collegiality among Duke Medicine’s next generation of leaders
