Duke University Hospital Department of Pharmacy Spring Symposium 2017

The purpose of this symposium is to provide an introduction to these concepts to both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, which can be translated into daily practice. The presentations during this symposium cover topics encompassing inpatient care, ambulatory/population health management, and learner development.

Learning Objectives

Review the literature available regarding the use of direct-acting anticoagulants (DOACs) in renal failure.
Apply techniques to promote development of learner self-regulation skills.
Describe the impact of provider education on antibiotic prescribing practices.
Provide an overview of the transformation to value-based care.
