Duke Children's Community Symposium
The Duke Children's Community Symposium is a conference designed to update providers on meaningful clinical problems in the care of children. Each session addresses a different topic in pediatric care, bringing together providers ranging from medical and surgical specialty disciplines to primary care physicians. Sessions in this series of conferences include lectures from 4-8 speakers. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to participants as part of the lecture series. The October session will focus on clinical challenges in the management of adolescent patients. Topics will include disordered eating, chronic disease management, contraception, sexually transmitted disease management, depression, substance use, chronic dizziness/fatigue and more.
Target Audience
Pediatricians, family medicine providers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurses working with pediatric age patients
Learning Objectives
Update participants on evidence base guidelines on adolescent management as well as community based resources available.
