Endobronchial Ultrasound Course
Lung cancer is a major health issue and its treatment requires accurate staging. Transbronchial needle aspiration (TBNA) is an important tool utilized for the staging of lung cancer. The yield of most chest physicians in this procedure remains less than desired. Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) is a new technology that can provide real time guidance for TBNA and increase its yield and utility.
This conference desirres to increase knowledge of current guidelines for lung cancer staging, increase yield of TBNA leading to accurate staging of lung cancer and acquire EBUS skills to improve the yield of TBNA and achieve greater yield in lung cancer staging. EBUS is a new technology and only a small percentage of chest physicians are able to perform it.
This conference adresses the need for the chest physicians need to improve their knowledge of lung cancer staging and to improve their skills in TBNA
