This is an exciting and important time for patients with hepatitis C. With new screening|guidelines, we are expecting many more patients to enter the healthcare system. Current treatments are effective for many patients but carry risks that require judicious use. Many treatments are in development and offer patients other options to consider in the future. Clinicians must be ready to help patients understand hepatitis C, including what it means to live with hepatitis C and what treatment options might be best for individual patients.

This education features knowledge on new DAA therapies and other soon-to-be released Hepatitis C treatments; including how to implement the new agents, review of specific treatment algorithms as approved by the FDA, monitoring for side effects, and challenges of timing viral load determinations.
