Learning Objectives:

1.      To review to role of adipose tissue on inflammatory diseases including rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

2.      To discuss the prevalence of overweight and obesity in early RA patients in the Canadian Early Arthritis Cohort (CATCH).

3.      To highlight the impact of increasing body mass index (BMI) on the likelihood of achieving sustained remission over time in early RA patients using CATCH.
