Learning Objectives:

In this session, participants will learn to:
1. Describe the diagnostic thought process involved in assessing biopsies obtained when rheumatologic disorders are in the differential diagnosis.
2. Discuss the limitations of histologic assessments based on biopsy tissue.
3. Understand how to maximize the likelihood of making a diagnosis based on tissue biopsy, with regard to biopsy site selection and tissue handling
