Perinatal adverse outcomes affect women, children, and families and can have lifelong consequences for survivors or lead to premature death. The Safety Program for Perinatal Care builds upon collective knowledge gained from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ’s) work in the Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Program (CUSP), TeamSTEPPs, safety culture, simulations, and evidence-based interventions.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
