As a result of attending this session attendees will:

1.  Gain an understanding of the roles of the NC DPI Consultants for the Deaf/HH and Teachers of the Deaf/HH in NC public schools
2.  Give examples of specially designed instruction for students who are deaf/hh
3.  List 3 examples of accommodations or modifications that may be considered by an IEP team for a student who is deaf/hh
4.  List 2 other professionals who support deaf/hh students in the schools
5.  Gain an understanding of NC Legislation: House Bill 317, An Act to Improve Educational Outcomes for NC Children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
