As a result of attending this session attendees will learn why a cycles approach is appropriate for targeting intelligible speech in children with phonological delay and disorders. They will be able to describe target selection procedures based on phonological error patterns. Participants will review a treatment cycle for a typical child with developmental phonological delay, discuss a typical speech therapy session sequence, and examine recent research regarding generalization effects of complex clusters and discuss how to incorporate these into a cycles approach.
