This module is designed for pediatricians and educators wanting to better understand the challenges faced by families of individuals affected with 22q11DS.  Narrated by the mother of a young adult with this condition, review of current literature and interviews with parents provide a closer look into the effect of this diagnosis on the entire family

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the major psychosocial challenges and emotional stressors of raising a child with 22q11DS
  2. Be able to anticipate family concerns at each stage of the child's development
  3. Identify available resources offering support and educational information on 22q11DS
